Just Finished....

Angel Time by Anne Rice. This book was about one man's redemption for the horrible crimes he had committed in his life. It was fairly religious, as anyone who follows Anne will know, this is her recurring motivation for writing. I was a little put off for the first few chapters, not because of the religion, but because it took a very long time to get into the meat of the story. I was about to write it off, but finally the story took off and I was riveted until the end. All in all, it was a good read, minus the slow start. I think her motive for the story is that every person has redeeming qualities, and can receive salvation in the end. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Anne Rice, and likes a book with detail, and historical data.

This is the start of a new series for Anne, right? Was the slow start to lay a basis and background before the meat of the story? I was just curious, as I have this book on the list to get. I may not get it imidiately but I was hoping to get it at some time.

Thanks for the review!

I'm going to pick this book up eventually but will probably wait until it's on the bargain table. Thanks for your thoughts on it.

Of course, I can't wait to read this! I know if you liked it, I definitely will.

I hope you don't mind, but I tweaked your sidebar for you. Let me know what you think. Also, your background wasn't showing up so I went to the site to see if I could fix it. I can't remember if this is the one that we had up before, but I think it looks great and it matches the colors in your header. Let me know if you absolutely hate it!

I didn't know you were reading The Private Diary of Mr. Darcy. I thought it was good. I'll be watching to see what you thought.

Love you,

your sis =o)

P.S. If you mess with the layout option on your blog, make sure you leave that Html/text box at the top of your right sidebar just below the add a gadget box. That is the code for your background and I think it has to stay at the top.

This is certainly different from anything else I've read by Rice.
